YMPO is an undergraduate program dedicated to broadening the horizons of Yale students interested in medicine. Members have opportunities to learn about medicine directly from professionals by shadowing physician-mentors or residents in their working environment. Students can also learn about health-related issues through regular lectures. Lecture topics include medically-related volunteer opportunities, conversations with doctors from a variety of specialties, and local and international outreach work. Additionally, we understand the importance of teamwork to foster a community of future doctors and leaders in medicine through big sib/little sib programs and panel discussions. N.B. Due to limited resources, we are unfortunately able to serve students at Yale College only.
